Handicap Blitz Tournament (18th April 2023):
A hotly contested handicap tournament was held at the White Swan for Mutual Circle Chess Club members.
Twelve players fought it out on the night. A handicap system was in place in which the highest rated players were given 3 minutes on the clock but players of lower ratings were granted more time up to 8 minutes. This led to some interesting games and several "scalps" on the night.
This was a fun event which I believe was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants.
The winner was Bruce Baer though I am pleased even he didn't manage 100%! Congrats Bruce! Full table below (Though I will admit I am confused as to how some rounds seem to have had more than 6 points in them...)
